Guidelines for Volunteers
Volunteering is so easy! Your job duties will depend on the number of volunteers and where your help is needed. You might be working a scanner at check-out, organizing, running a credit card machine, helping shoppers in the hold area or anything else we might need done at the time. In exchange for working you may attend the Volunteer’s Presale for the sale in which you volunteer. Won't that be GREAT.....getting to shop first, before we open to the public and get the Best of the Best!

Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins in order to receive instructions. Please be sure to eat before you come as we will not be taking a break. Don’t forget that you can take turns with a friend…you can watch her kids while she works and she can watch your kids while you work. Then you can come shopping together!

Check the dates/times below for the sale that applies to you. You must pick up your presale wristband during drop-off. NO children are allowed at the presale until the Presale With Kids.

Plano Sale | Grapevine Sale

To volunteer in Plano, email Tina at divineconsign@hotmail.com with your request.

Consignors who also volunteer at the Plano sale will no longer receive a higher percentage of their sales due to increased costs at the Plano Centre.

PRIORITY SHIFTS

These are our most important slots to fill. Working one of these shifts alone will earn you a wristband to the 2:30 p.m. presale.
  • Sunday | August 29 | 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    (Open to the public) - New this fall: to work this shift, you will need to come to a special training time from 1:30-2:25 on Saturday before the presale
  • Tuesday | August 31 | 12 Noon to 5 p.m.
    (Breakdown) * You may not sign up for this shift if you are pregnant.
  • Tuesday | August 31 | 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    (men only) *Note: There will be no break for dinner so please eat before you arrive.

5 HOUR SHIFTS
Working one of these shifts earns you a wristband to the 3pm presale.

  • Friday | August 27 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Set-up shift-receives 3pm pass for 4 hours of work)
    *We need six men and six women on this shift. This is a great opportunity to have your husband work so YOU can shop!! Note: There will be no break for lunch so please eat before you arrive. You may not sign up for this shift if you are pregnant.

  • Friday | August 27 | 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (1st Drop-off)
  • Friday | August 27 | 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (1st Drop-off)
  • Saturday | August 28 | 7:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. (1st Drop-off)
  • Sunday | August 29 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (2nd Drop-off)

  • Sunday | August 29 | 1 p.m. to 6 p.m (Open to the public)
  • Monday | August 30 | 10 a.m to 3 p.m. (Open to the public)
  • Tuesday | August 31 | 8 a.m to 1 p.m (Open to the public)

  • Tuesday | August 31 | 5 p.m to 10 p.m (Pick-up)

4 HOUR SHIFTS
Working one shift earns you a wristband to the 4pm presale.

  • Monday | August 30 | 6 p.m to 10 p.m. (1/2 price sale)
    (Working this shift allows you to shop 1/2 price merchandise from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
  • Tuesday | August 31 | 9 a.m to 1 p.m. (1/2 price sale)

SECURITY
We need at least 1 man per shift to work security. Job will include patrolling the sales floor, watching for theft and safety issues. Choose from any of the listed shifts above. You will receive a presale wristband to the 3:00 presale for working a 5 hour shift. You will receive a wristband to the 4:00 presale for working a 4 hour shift.

CARRYOUT ASSISTANCE
(Men only) For presale night we need two men to help shoppers disassemble, carry and load large items into shopper's cars.

  • Saturday | August 28 | 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    (earns 3 p.m. pass)

TV/NEWSPAPER COVERAGE
If you know someone in the media and can get a story done about the sale on a local TV station or have a story printed about the sale in a local newspaper, you will earn exclusive benefits from Divine Consign. Contact us for details.

Consignors who also volunteer at the sale at which they consign will receive 75% of their sales!

Early sign-ups for volunteering will be August 2-8. Sign up today to be on our mailing list to receive instructions on how to sign up early (found on our home page). This will only be through a special email address not over the phone.
